Day 1: Arusha- Lake Manyara National Park
Early in the morning, our tour guides will pick you up from the hotel in Arusha where you shall be picked and driven to Lake Manyara National Park.
The distance from Arusha to Lake Manyara is approximately 125km and you are likely to arrive after 2 and half hours. Upon arrival, you will check in the lodge, have breakfast and later depart with packed lunch for game viewing until evening.
The game drive in Lake Manyara National Park shall enable you to witness many wildlife species. Some of the species within the park include lions, baboons, warthogs, elephants, impala, gazelles, bushbuck, waterbuck, wildebeest, lion, leopards, hyena, cheetah, jackal and many more.
During the game drive, it is possible to witness the tree-climbing lions; the lions are seen up the tree trunks. The park was named after Lake Manyara that crosses through the park. In the evening, you will return to the lodge with wonderful memories. Dinner shall be served at the lodge.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Ngorongoro
Early in the morning, you will be driven to Ngorongoro Conservation area. Upon arrival at the loduare gate, you will enter and afterwards, you will be driven to the crater rim view area where you will have the best sightseeing opportunity of the Ngorongoro crater floor.
You will take as many photos as possible. Afterwards, you will descend to the crater floor for a game drive until evening hours. The game drive will enable you witness as many wildlife species as possible. Some of the common species in Ngorongoro include the Africa big 5- lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards.
Other species within the park include the wildebeest, hartebeest, antelopes, elands, Topis, bushbuck, waterbuck, warthogs, crocodiles, hippopotamus, and many more.
Lunch time will be served at the hippo pool picnic site. The picnic site overlooks the hippo pool. You will continue on the game drive until evening hours. You will return to the crater rim, enjoy the sunset and later drive to lodge where you shall be offered with the best meals.
Day 3: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will be driven to Serengeti. Along the way, you will make a stop at the oldupai gorge where you will learn about this historical site. The remains of the first humans were discovered at the oldupai gorge by Mary and Louis Leakey.
There is a museum at the site where you can learn about the history of the oldupai. The local guides in the area are knowledge about Oldupai. Later, you will continue on with the game drive until Serengeti. Upon arrival, you shall check in your lodge, have lunch and later drive to the park for an afternoon game drive. Game viewing in Serengeti is an adventurous activity.
During the game drive, you will witness many wildlife species and their behaviors. Some of the species to expect include the African big 5- lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. Other species within the park include antelopes, hartebeest, crocodiles, elands, Topis, gazelles, wildebeest, crocodiles, hippopotamus, zebra, hyena, cheetah and many wildlife species.
If you happen to visit during the wildebeest migration, you will witness millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra, elands, and Topis grazing around the vast Serengeti plains until they cross over to Maasai Mara in Kenya
In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 4: Full day Serengeti
Early in the morning, you will depart the lodge for the park to participate in the game drive until evening. You will visit the Serengeti plains, the western corridor and Northern Serengeti while seeking out for different wildlife species. In the evening, you will return to the lodge with wonderful wild memories.
Day 5: Serengeti – Arusha
This is the last day of this amazing tour. If you want this amazing safari to be extended, we shall do as per your wish. Early in the morning, our tour guide will transfer you to the hot-air balloon launch site where you will board a hot-air balloon and fly over Serengeti while witnessing various wildlife species.
The hot-air balloon is flown by an experienced pilot who is familiar with Serengeti. He will be able to fly to the best game viewing regions. You will have the perfect opportunity to take aerial photos. After landing, you will be treated to the best bush breakfast.
Later, you will drive to the park for game viewing until lunch time. At lunch time, you will return to the lodge, have lunch and afterwards, drive to Arusha to end this wonderful Tanzania wildlife safari. Souvenirs can bought along the way.
