9 day Tanzania safari
The 9 day Tanzania safari will take you to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National park, Ngorongoro conservation area, Lake Manyara National Park and Zanzibar. You will have enough time to witness as many wildlife species as possible. The tour will be conducted by experienced and highly professional tour guides who are aware of Tanzania. This safari can start from any location around Tanzania however we expect it to end in Zanzibar. We shall consider Arusha as our starting point however other areas can be considered.
We will pick you up from the airport to your hotel in Arusha.
Day 1: Arusha- Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire National park is renowned for a large herd of elephants. Early in the morning, our tour guide will drive you Tarangire. Upon arrival, you will be driven to the park for an amazing game drive. Tarangire National Park was named after Rive Tarangire that flows through the park. Along the banks, there are always many wildlife species to witness.
During the visit to Tarangire, it is possible to witness wildlife species as possible. Some of the species to expect include the wildebeest, crocodiles, hippopotamus, zebras, elephant, lions, leopards, giraffes, hyena, cheetah, warthogs, and many more. In the evening, you will return to the lodge where you will be served with dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
Early in the morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The route is likely to take about 3 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in the lodge, have breakfast and later depart with packed lunch for a full day game drive in Lake Manyara national park.
During the game drive in Manyara, you will witness many wildlife species. You are likely to expect the following wildlife species: lions, leopards, hartebeest, crocodiles, elephants, hippopotamus, caracal, baboons, wild dog, antelopes, elands, cheetah, zebra, hyena and many more.
The highlight of a tour to Lake Manyara is witnessing the tree climbing lions. In the evening, you will return to the lodge where you will be served with various delicious meals.
Day 3: Full day game drive Lake Manyara National Park
Early in the morning, you will depart the lodge for Lake Manyara National Park. This day is essential given that should you miss out on the opportunity of witnessing the tree climbing lions the previous day, there will a chance to spot them during this day. The game drive will end in the evening and by evening hours; you will have various wild memories. You will be driven to Karatu where you will lodge for the night
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park – Ngorongoro
Early in the morning, you will be driven to Ngorongoro for an adventurous trip. You will access Ngorongoro via the loduare gate. After entering, you will be driven to the Ngorongoro crater rim view area where you will have magnificent and awe-inspiring views of the crater floor. Afterwards, you will descend to the crater floor for an amazing game drive.
The game drive in Ngorongoro offers the chance to witness various wildlife species such as the African big 5- lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos and leopards. Other species to expect include the wildebeest, crocodiles, hippopotamus, elands, gazelles, zebra, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs and many more. Delicious lunch will be served at hippo pool picnic site, this site is remarkable.
It offers great views of the hippo pool. The game drive will continue until evening. Later, you will be driven to the crater rim where you will have a marvelous sunset before driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 5: Full day game drive in Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro is stacked with various wildlife species. It is highly possible that you could have missed out on the opportunity of spotting some species the previous day.
We shall make all the necessary preparations to make sure that you visit the different areas at the crater floor such that you spot various wildlife species. This is what you will do on this day. The game drive will start early in the morning until evening hours. Lunch will be served at the hippo pool picnic site.
Later, you will return to the lodge where you will be served with delicious dinner
Day 6: Serengeti
Early in the morning, you will depart Ngorongoro conservation area for Serengeti National Park. Each passenger in our cars has access to the window seat and this ensures maximum sightseeing experience.
You will stop at the Oldupai gorge, this historical site is where the remains of the first humans were discovered. You will have the opportunity to meet researchers and the local tour guides who have extensive knowledge of Serengeti.
I’m sure; you will benefit a lot from their wealthy of knowledge. Later, you will continue your journey to Serengeti. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge, have lunch and afterwards, you will visit the lodge for an afternoon game viewing experience until sunset. During the game drive, you will witness many wildlife species such as the African big 5- lions, elephant, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards. Other wildlife species to expect include wildebeest, crocodiles, zebra, hippopotamus, elands, Topis, gazelles, baboons, wild dogs, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, warthog, hartebeest, impalas, waterbuck, bushbuck, and many more.
If you happen to travel during the great wildebeest migration, it is possible that you will witness millions of wildebeests and hundreds of thousands of zebras, Topis and gazelles
In the evening, you will return to the lodge where you will be served with dinner and overnight
Day 7: Full day Serengeti
Exploring Serengeti National Park requires careful planning. On this day, our tour guide will drive you to the park early in the morning for game viewing until sunset. By evening hours, you will have remarkable memories of various wildlife species. This day is essential because you will have enough time to visit the different areas within the park.
Day 8: Zanzibar
Early in the morning, our tour guide will drive you to the park where you will board a hot-air balloon that flies over Serengeti. The hot air balloon is flown by an expert pilot who is aware of the different regions within the park. He will fly to most of the areas of interest.
You will have the opportunity to take aerial photos. Afterwards, you will land and have the best delicious bush breakfast. Later, you will be driven to the seronera airstrip where you will take a flight to Zanzibar.
In Zanzibar, you will meet another tour guide who shall transfer you to the hotel where you will refresh, have lunch and later you will visit the stone town, spice market in Zanzibar, sultan palace, and other attractions. In the evening, you will return to the hotel where you will be served with delicious meals
Day 9: Airport
This is the last day of this safari. If you want to stay for more time in Zanzibar, we shall do as per your travel desires. Early in the morning, you will visit one of the beaches in Zanzibar to have a taste of this wonderful coastal beach life.
There are many beaches in Zanzibar and most of the beaches have crystal clear water, palm trees and white powdered sand. You will participate in any beach activity that you want. Delicious meals shall be served at one of the restaurant where you will get the opportunity to taste sea food or different continental meals.
Afterwards, you will be driven to the airport such that you take a flight back home.
